Pakistan are all set to hand batsman Sahibzada Farhan his maiden international cap in the T20I tri-series final against Australia in Harare on Sunday (July 8).

Speaking on the eve of the final, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed said Sahibzada will replace Haris Sohail at the top of the order in the all-important summit clash.

Speedster Hasan Ali will also be a part of the 12-man squad while the rest of the team will remain the same – the one that played against Australia in the league match on Thursday (July 5).

“Sahibzada Farhan will make his debut while Hasan Ali is also part of the 12-man squad with the rest of the side unchanged. The final eleven will be decided on the morning of the match after assessing the conditions,” Sarfraz said according to The Express Tribune.

Farhan has been in top form in white-ball cricket lately, recording the scores of 155 and 73 in his last four innings. He has also played a significant role in Islamabad United’s triumph in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018.

Talking about the conditions and team’s preparation before the much-anticipated final against Australia, Sarfraz said: “The weather is cold but it did not hamper our preparations for tomorrow’s final to a major extent. Hopefully the team will perform well against Australia.”
