India’s premier fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been in a lot of trouble since the last 6 months or so. However, his performances on the field have never been affected and he proved that against South Africa in the Test series in early 2018.

But when the time came for him to play against Afghanistan in their debut Test in Bengaluru, Mohammed Shami was found unfit, as he failed to clear his yo-yo test at the NCA. BCCI dropped him from the squad and replaced him with Navdeep Saini. Neither was Shami chosen for the limited overs squad of the Indian cricket team for the England tour.

However, with the squad for the five-test series in England yet to be named, Mohammed Shami has put his name in the hat, as he posted a message on his Twitter account in which he revealed that he had passed the yo-yo test and was ready for further challenges.

Shami has picked up 208 wickets in 87 international matches for India. He was part of the Indian squad that toured England in 2014 and played 3 Tests and picked up 5 wickets and scored a fifty as well.
