Mohammad Amir has been impressive since his return to cricket and his mastery over Virat Kohli has taken the world by storm. However, in an interview with ESPNCricinfo.com, Amir disclosed that he finds doing something tougher than dealing with Virat Kohli.

Amir said, “Fatherhood is more challenging for it demands more responsibilities.” Amir and his wife Nargis became parents to a baby girl Minsa in September last year. “Would have loved to bowl to Lara. Whenever I see his videos, I feel that he was the toughest batsman from that era,” said the Punjab-born cricketer.

When asked about his inspiration outside cricket, Amir named the famous physicist Late Stephen Hawking, known for his research on black holes and achieved fame despite suffering from motor neuron disease.

Amir had spent six months behind bars and was banned for five years from international cricket for his involvement in a spot-fixing scandal during Pakistan’s Test series against England in 2010.

I love people who succeed in life overcoming various odds. Recently my wife told me about this scientist (Hawking) who was not able to walk or talk but he became world famous,” he said.

I want to take a hat-trick in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is,” he said when asked about a wish he wants to fulfill in his cricketing life.

I wish there were no free hit off a no-ball,” said the pacer. Amir also said that if ever a biopic was made on him, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor should play his role, as he admired his work in Padmavat.
