Rishabh Pant says it was a good test for him, after his match winning innings against England Lions in tri-series final

India A defeated England Lions in the final at the Kennington Oval to win the 50-over tri-series. They won the final by 5 wickets as Indian batsmen chased down the target in 48.2 overs.

Rishabh Pant (64* off 62 balls), Mayank Agarwal (40 off 41) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (run-a-ball 44) helped the men in blue before India A bowlers restricted England Lions on 264 runs.

Once again Deepak Chahar dominated with the ball and picked up 3 wickets. Other than him, Shardul Thakur (2/42) and Khaleel Ahmed (3/48) put their team in a commanding position.

For England Lions, Sam Hain scored 108 off 122 balls which wasn't capitalized by their bowlers.

After Pant's unbeaten innings, he said, "It was a good test for me as well as the team. Both teams fought hard through the series."

The youngster added that it was a great opportunity for players to showcase their talent and get an opportunity to play for the country.

"The boys have been practicing really hard and eventually we got the result we wanted. Everyone wants to play the country and if you do well, you will get the chance," he added.
