After a remarkable performance in the 5-match ODI series, England cricketers have made a rise in the ICC ODI rankings. They thrash Australia by 5-0 to have a whitewash for the first time ever in cricketing history. Some England cricketers like Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali have made significant gains to move up in on top 10 of ICC ODI rankings.

Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler were the key batsmen to go up in the batsmen's list. Jonny Bairstow has moved up four places to 11th position after hammering 300 runs against Australia in the series. Jos Buttler, the Man of the Series has gained two places to attain the 16th position adding 275 runs in the tournament with an unbeaten century in the last match while Jason Roy has moved up three places.

Alex Hales with 147 in the 3rd ODI has gone up one place to reach 22nd position and England captain, Eoin Morgan has reached 24th position.

Speaking about the spinners, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid ended with 12 wickets each in the series against Australia have also gained up their spots to be on eight spots in the rankings while Moeen Ali moved up thirteen places to go at 12th position in the rankings.

England seamers also had a rise in their rankings, Mark Wood has gone up five places to reach 28th position whereas David Willey has gained twenty-three places to reach 43rd in the rankings of bowlers list. There are other bowlers as well who have moved up in the list.

For Scotland cricket team, Calum MacLeod’s spectacular knock of 140 runs against England led him twenty places up to reach career-best 35th position among all the batsmen. Matthew Cross after scoring a useful 48 runs against England has gone nine slots up to reach 103rd position.

Scotland bowlers as well had a promotion in their rankings as Mark Watt reached 67th position and  Alasdair Evans has gone up five places upto 85.
