ENG vs AUS 2018: Australia ends up on sixth position in the ICC ODI rankings after losing against England

Australia has slipped down to the sixth position in the ICC ODI rankings after they faced a 5-0 whitewash against England in the bilateral series. Australia after losing all their matches against their arch-rivals have gone behind Pakistan, finished with 100 points. 

This has happened for the first time in three decades that Australia has gone down to the sixth position, they are now two points behind Pakistan and seven points ahead of Bangladesh.

On the other hand, England after a shocking loss against Scotland in the one-off ODI outplayed Australia in the 5-match series by winning all the matches have 126 points in the ICC ODI rankings and are comfortably standing on the top of the list.

England's next series is scheduled against India, where both the teams will play 3 T20s, 3 ODIs and 5 Test matches. The first T20 will be played on July 3 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

If India wins the ODI series against England by 3-0, ICC ODI rankings will see India go back on the top of the list and the home team slipping to the second.

In the month of July, Australia will travel to Zimbabwe for a triangular series against Pakistan and Zimbabwe, starting July 1 where Zimbabwe will play against Pakistan in the opener of the series.
