South African wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, who has been enjoying a wonderful time both on and off the field in recent times, has shared a surprising news on  social media on Sunday (24 June).

At the moment, the 28-year-old Shamsi has two great reasons to celebrate, as he has got a national call-up for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour next month and is all set to begin a second innings in his life as the wrist-spinner has tied the knot with his fiancée recently.

The slow left-arm Chinaman bowler is all set to play the full-fledged series comprising of two Tests, five One Day Internationals and one T20I international against Sri Lanka in July.

Since Shamsi made his international debut for Proteas way back in 2016, he has never been able to cement his position in the side, having featured in only 13 international matches for his nation. He will now make a comeback to the ODI side after two years.

He has got the deserving national call-up following his string of brilliant performances at the Proteas domestic tournament with Titans recently. He finished up as the leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets in 11 T20 matches, while picked up 13 wickets in 3 four-day matches for the Titans.

Meanwhile, Shamsi on Sunday went on his official Twitter handle to break the news of his marriage and gave a surprise to his fans. In the video, he can be seen saying, “Hi Guys What’s Up. I want to introduce you guys to somebody. Meet my beautiful bride. I just got married.”

He wrote, “Surprise!!!!!! ????????#Mr&MrsShamsi”
