Former England cricketer, Graeme Swann has picked the hot favourites to win the World Cup 2019. England will host the 12th edition of World Cup which will begin May 30 next year. The veteran spinner, Graeme Swann has picked England as the favourites to win the World Cup for the first time ever in cricketing history.

England after a thumping win over Australia by 242 runs in the third ODI match has made its intentions clear ahead of the World Cup 2019. England has also taken a 3-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series against their arch-rivals.

In the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner, Australia has become a weaker side, other experienced players like Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell needs to step up and play their role for the nation and defend their title championship. More importantly, Australia's bowling department is injured, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood are out of their fitness due to their respective injuries. All the bowlers are on rehabilitation ahead of the 2019 World Cup.

While talking about his favourite team to win the World Cup, Graeme Swann told BBC “For this team, the sky is the limit and that’s the way to play One-Day cricket. I’ll tell you what, they’ve got to go down as hot favourites for the World Cup as it is only a year away and they’ve got a balanced team. They’ve still Stokes and Woakes to come back into the team,” he said.

“Everyone around the world would’ve watched that and will now desperately not want to play England. They would not want to come up against the hosts in a crunch game,” Swann added.

Graeme Swann feels England can even play without the services of injured Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes. Both the players got themselves injured during the Test series against Pakistan.
