'One man's loss is another man's gain' came true for Suresh Raina as he replaced Ambati Rayudu in the Indian ODI squad for the tour of England. Rayudu failed the mandatory Yo-Yo test and that resulted in him being dropped from the side, despite a good showing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was in dilemma after the news as Rayudu and Raina are both CSK players and they replaced one another.

They wished Raina on the comeback and hoped the Andhra Pradesh cricketer will be back in the team again. "Wishing Chinna Thala @ImRaina all the best in the upcoming UK tour! Hoping to see Baahubali @RayuduAmbati back in action very soon! #whistlepodu ????????," CSK wrote.

As per the statement of BCCI, the official statement said, "The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Suresh Raina as Ambati Rayudu’s replacement in India’s ODI squad for the series against England. The announcement came after Rayudu failed to clear his fitness test that was held at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on Friday."

The 32-year-old Rayudu failed the test at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru after scoring way below than the required 16.1 score. Other than Rayudu, Mohammed Shami and India A cricketer Sanju Samson also got ruled out because of a poor score in Yo-Yo test.

India’s squad for ODIs against England:
Virat Kohli (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Siddarth Kaul, Umesh Yadav
