MS Dhoni signs on as a brand ambassador for Indigo Paints

Dhoni has been signed on for a period of three years.

Indigo Paints, a Pune based decorative paint maker has signed India wicketkeeper and CSK captain MS Dhoni as their brand ambassador for a period of three years.

Dhoni will feature in all the marketing and promotional campaigns of Indigo Paints, who have planned to spend well over Rs 200 cr in that period on ads.

We are a relatively young company but are growing at a brisk 40-45% CAGR over the last 10 years. Now, we are looking at further strengthening our brand and Dhoni was a perfect choice,” Hemant Jalan, managing director at Indigo Paints, told ET.

MS Dhoni said that he was very happy joining hands with Indigo paints who are giving the challenge to establish players and mentioned: “Reminds me of my early days, and would be glad to help the brand reach great heights.

Indigo Paints will launch an ad campaign across TV and other media, featuring Dhoni in early August. “We have been spending 8-9% of our annual sales on advertising. We plan to spend Rs 200-240 crore over the next three years on the same,” Jalan said.
