Former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis has picked Mohammad Amir as an asset for the Pakistan cricket team. Since the start, Pakistan is known to produce world-class pace bowlers.

In spite of Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar retiring from International cricket, they have continued to find exceptional fast bowling talents in the team.

The team recently leveled the two Test matches against England 1-1, losing the last match by an innings and 55 runs. He was all in praise for the young speedster after he made his comeback to the International cricket after almost six years.

Waqar Younis added, “It is not easy to come back after being out of the game for five years. You can’t expect an 18-year-old kid to be out of the game for five years and then come back and be the same bowler and do the same things he was doing before his ban,”.

The former coach of Pakistan feels Amir should be more careful about his form and fitness as he has been playing frequent cricket for a long period of time. Waqar Younis acknowledged, “He’s an asset for Pakistan cricket and he remains a match-winner. I think for Amir as a strike-bowler playing in all three formats all of the time is a bit too much because he’s also playing in Twenty20 leagues around the world,”.
