Afghanistan cricket team has arrived in Bengaluru for their historic debut Test starting on July 14-18 against India. The team is coming after an exhilarating win against Bangladesh. They crushed them with a 3-0 whitewash in Dehradun.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) will host the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Skipper Asghar Stanikzai is confident with his team. He says the confidence is high and they want to deliver a good performance as his players are in good form.

"Great preparation for the Test match against India - the morale is high. Last couple of years we have performed well. We want to achieve it for Afghanistan. You see the batsmen, bowlers are all in good form," he said.

“The whole world knows that [we have very good spinners in] Rashid Khan, Mujeeb [Ur Rahman], [Mohammad] Nabi, Rahmat [Shah], Zahir [Khan]. In Afghanistan, the brilliant thing is that a lot of the young talent that is coming through is spinners because they all follow Rashid, they follow Nabi, so because of that our spin department is very strong from below. In my opinion, we have good spinners, better spinners than India,” Stanikzai told ESPNcricinfo.

The tickets sales have started and are available to the general public from June 9, (10:30 am to 6 pm) at Gate 2 of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The tickets are priced between 50 to 2000.
