Arjun Tendulkar has been making the headlines after being selected for the India U19 team which will tour to Sri Lanka. However, he would miss out on the opportunity of working with Rahul Dravid, India A and India U-19 head coach, as he will travel with the ‘A’ team to England. This is for the second year running when Dravid will miss a series with the U-19 team.

Dravid will be in England, overseeing the India A team. This tour will be one of the biggest challenges for Dravid as the tour is organized just ahead of India Test tour of England. Players who do well for India A will have a real chance of making it to the Indian team as well.

As soon as the ‘A’ tour ended, Dravid took back the charge and went with the team to Asia Cup. The team later went on to win the World Cup as well in New Zealand earlier this year.

The upcoming Sri Lanka tour will be the first occasion when the junior team will play in any competitive game after the World Cup success, though without their regular head coach.

A few of the Indian Test players might also play for India A in first-class matches that are to be played before the Test series which starts on August 1.

India A will play a triangular series involving England and Windies A team as well. Then they will play two four day games followed by five ODIs.
