Hrishikesh Kanitkar's Wikipedia page mistreated with abusive remark

Hrishikesh played 2 Tests and 34 ODIs for India and scored 10,000 first class runs.

Hrishikesh Kanitkar (TOI)

Former India batsman Hrishikesh Kanitkar's Wikipedia page has been mistreated by the world's leading information platform, with his name being used with an abusive remark. Wikipedia has often come across criticism for its feature where anyone can edit the available informative page and this has become the latest resultant of this reconsiderable tool.

The ‘personal information’ tab on Hrishikesh’s Wikipedia page also describes Bernice Mene, who is a former New Zealand netball player, as his wife.  Bernice is actually married to former New Zealand captain and fast bowler Dion Nash.

The abusive remark comes as a shock. (Wikipedia)

Recently, other International Cricketers like Jade Dernbach and Ravindra Jadeja's page has been mistreated as well. The England fast bowler was attacked by trolls who put the phrase of “Worst Player of All Time” on his description page. And, Ravindra Jadeja, one of India's well established Test Cricketer and one of the most likeable personalities, was given a very disrespectful remark in his introductory paragraph.

Ravindra Jadeja's page has also been mistreated before. (Wikipedia)

Hrishikesh's incident is not fine at all. He played 2 Test matches and 34 ODIs for the country through his sheer hardwork and retired with well over 10,000 first-class runs in 2015, after having also won Ranji Trophy titles for Rajasthan in 2011 and 2012.

Hrishikesh is the son of former Indian Test cricketer Hemant Kanitkar, who played two Tests for India during their home series against the West Indies in 1974-75. He passed away in 2015.
