Virat Kohli shares a special message after India's victory over Kenya

Virat Kohli posted a message on Twitter following Sunil Chhetri's brace that helped India outclass Kenya in their second match of the Intercontinental Cup.

Virat Kohli, the skipper of Indian cricket team is a passionate lover of Football and a wholehearted supporter of Indian Football. The owner of FC Goa in Indian Super League (ISL) left no chance to support the team and its players with a motivational message on Twitter after the home team beat Kenya by 3-0. On Saturday, many athletes with Virat Kohli urge people to come in the ground and support their nation. India did a splendid job to thrash Kenya in their second league match. After the win, Kohli took to Twitter and posted a message to congratulate the team and Sunil Chhetri.

Virat Kohli wrote,"The last two years have been fantastic for @IndianFootball and last night again they showed that they mean business. A great 3 nil victory over Kenya. Well done champ @chetrisunil11,"


The captain, Sunil Chhetri made his 100th International appearance for the team and ended the match in a winning cause against Kenya by a 3-0 scoreline. Chhetri even scored a hattrick against Chinese Taipei and took his team home with a win. Despite rain interrupting the match, it was Sunil Chhetri who managed to score two goals in the game.

The 33-year-old footballer made India proud by winning off it in a style for his team to give his team a lead in Intercontinental Cup. Chhetri's first goal was from the penalty spot where the leader of the team was lucky to get a favourable call from the referee.

Jeje Lalpekhlua hammered India's second booming strike from inside the circle with Chhetri impressing the scoreline in the 92nd minute.

India's next match is with New Zealand on Thursday in the top 4 tournament matches. Kenya is on the third spot with three points who will now take on Chinese Taipei after beating the Kiwis.

The final will take place on Sunday with the top two teams playing for the trophy.
