The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is all set to embark on its 6th edition this August with the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Stars kicking off the T20 event in Trinidad on 8 August 2018. The final of the CPL 2018 will be held on 16 September 2018 in Tobago.

On Tuesday (5 June), the itinerary for the upcoming 2018 edition has been announced by the CPL on its official website that will run until 6 September and see 34-matches with the exciting T20 event returning to the USA for the third successive year.

As per reports in CPL’s official website, Damien O’Donohoe, the Hero CPL’s CEO, is excited for another exciting season of the T20 tournament.

He added, “We are delighted with how Hero CPL continues to grow. Last season we saw almost 200 million viewers watch the tournament and Hero CPL also made a huge impact on the economies of the countries we visited. We are certain that this year we will see those numbers grow once again.”

Meanwhile, CPL’s COO, Pete Russell said, “It is very pleasing to get the fixture list agreed for this year. Moving the tournament between seven nation states always represents a huge logistical challenge and I would like to thank our operations team for pulling it all together for another year.”
