Sandeep Lamichhane congratulates Rashid Khan on his latest achievement in T20I cricket

Young Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has congratulated Afghanistan's Rashid Khan after completing50 T20 international wickets that he achieved while playing against Bangladesh on Sunday (3 June) in India.  

Rashid has been continuous with his spin best against Bangladesh in the T20I series following his stunning outing in the IPL 2018, where he finished as the second highest wicket-taker with 21 scalps for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has kept up his good form in the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh. 

On Sunday (3 June) at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun, Rashid once again came out with his spin best, taking 3 wickets and played a key role in Team’s 45-run win in the first T20I against Bangladesh to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.

During the course, the 19-year-old leg-spinner has completed his 50 T20 International wickets and on the occasion, Lamichhane dropped a congratulatory text on Twitter for the world's best T20 bowler.

He wrote, “Congratulations @rashidkhan_19 brother on your 50 T20I wickets. Many more to come. Keep shining !”

Meanwhile, Lamichhane, who made headlines in the world cricket after becoming the first player from Nepal to play in the IPL when he was brought up by Delhi Daredevils for the 2018 season of the tournament, is best known for his stunning economical bowling.

The 17-year-old got only 3 opportunities to play in the IPL 2018 and has taken only 5 scalps play for DD.

He is all set to play in the T20 tri-series involving MCC and Netherlands later this month, as well as, will play in Nepal’s first-ever ODI assignment in the Netherlands next month.
