Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB), has announced the T20 internationals squad for the two-game T20 internationals series against Scotland that is to take place shortly. Babar Azam, Pakistan's best-limited overs batsman currently has been replaced by the left-hander Haris Sohail in this 15-member squad. Babar Azam suffered a really nasty injury during the recently concluded Lord's Test where he got hit very badly and fractured his left hand while batting.

The national selection committee chairman Inzamam ul Haq announced the squad after consultation with skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and coach Mickey Arthur, PCB said in a statement.

Pakistan is currently ranked no.1 in the ICC T20 Internationals rankings but they are mid-ranked in the Test match cricket and hence, the PCB didn't announce the team for these T20 games earlier because they wanted the Sarfraz Ahmed led side to stay focussed on the tough Test assignment in Ireland and England.

Now that the squad has been named, it includes the opening batsmen Fakhar Zaman and Ahmed Shehzad. The opening duo is followed by the middle order that has place for Haris Sohail, Shoaib Malik, Hussain Talat, Asif Ali and concludes with Sarfraz Ahmed himself, who is also the only wicketkeeper in the squad.

Spinners Shadab Khan and Muhammed Nawaz will be looking to support the fast group that is made up of Fahim Ashraf, Muhammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Usman Shanwari, Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The T20Is are scheduled to be played on June 12 and 13.
