Anil Kumble comes out in support of Sunil Chhetri's plea on Indian Football

Indian Football team will play Kenya today in Mumbai.

Former Indian coach, Anil Kumble has come out to encourage Sunil Chettri and Indian Football team ahead of their clash against Kenya in Mumbai which will also be the captain's 100th international match. After Bhaichung Bhutia, Sunil Chettri is the only Indian footballer to feature in 100 International games for team India, meanwhile, his goal count has crossed several other players who play professional Football in Europe and South America as well.

In 2016 and 2017, the former leg-spinner of India, Anil Kumble was deliberately in the headlines after he was named the Head Coach of the team. There were a lot of controversies revolving as a rift between Kumble and Virat to which after Kumble had to step down as the Head Coach of the side after his team lost to Pakistan in the finals of Champions Trophy. Ravi Shastri made his comeback as the Head Coach of the team and now as India had a merciless performance in the past few years.

Recently, the captain of Indian Football team had shared a video on his social media platform requesting to the general public to come and support their Football side as they do for their Indian cricket team. In fact, the message has been resounded by the biggest names in Indian cricket as well.

Various sports stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and plus Tennis startling Sania Mirza had come forward in to support Sunil Chettri ahead of his crucial and Important game. Even Mumbai Indian's all-rounder Krunal Pandya did his part to promote Indian Football team ahead of their clash against Kenya.
