Indian speedster Ishant Sharma has once again grabbed the headlines for his stellar show in county circuit. Playing for Sussex, the lanky pacer claimed two wickets in the match against Glamorgan on Friday (June 1) and took his wickets tally to 8 in the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup.
Although Sussex couldn’t defend the total of 277 and lost the match to Glamorgan by 6 wickets, Ishant’s opening spell made everyone sit back and took notice of his craft. The first wicket that he scalped in the match was an absolute peach.
It was a length delivery that pitched on the middle stump and swung just enough to knock the top of off. Glamorgan’s opening batsman, Nicholas Selman, was absolutely bamboozled by the delivery that got rid of him on 15.

Earlier, Sussex rode on David Wiese’s 67 and Michael Burgess’ 58 to post a highly competitive total of 277/8 in 50 overs. In reply, Glamorgan chased down the target with 6 wickets in hand and 10 balls to spare. Colin Ingram was the stand-out performer for Glamorgan as he remained unbeaten on 95 to see his side home.
