Shikhar Dhawan had a wonderful IPL 2018 campaign for the runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad. The left-hander finished the season with 497 runs from 16 innings and was the second highest run-getter for his side after skipper Kane Williamson (735 runs in 17 innings).

Recently, Dhawan appeared in Gaurav Kapur’s popular web-show ‘Breakfast with Champions’ where he revealed that he takes out the trash every Thursday at home whenever he visits his wife Ayesha in Melbourne.

"I do take out the trash every Thursday. Whenever I go to Melbourne I try to help out my wife," he quoted.

In 2012, Dhawan tied the knot with Melbourne-based amateur boxer, Ayesha Mukherjee, who was also a mother of two daughters, Rhea and Aliyah, from her previous marriage. In early 2014, she gave birth to a boy named Zoravar.

During the talk show, Shikhar also revealed how he got the nickname of Gabbar and the reason behind his kabaddi-style celebration.

"This happened in Australia when I took Shane Watson's catch. I like to watch kabaddi, it's a manly sport. I enjoy it and celebrate taking catches very sincerely. People also look at me these days and do the celebration whenever I'm fielding near the boundary," Dhawan said.
