The second match between England and Pakistan commenced at Headingley, Leeds on Friday (June 1). Since England had lost the first Test at Lord’s last week, it is a must-win game for them. Unfortunately, they lost the services of their ace all-rounder Ben Stokes before this all-important clash owing to a hamstring injury.
Although Stokes was not part of the on-field action, he was seen entertaining the spectators with his naughty deed. The 26-year-old was filmed attempting to hide behind the sightscreen after briefly halting play by coming in the way of veteran opening batsman Alastair Cook.

Fortunately for England and Stokes, Cook was able to remain focused and carry on his batting. The England opener was on 10 when Stokes distracted him with his cheeky action and he eventually fell in the final session to Hasan Ali for 46.
Considering the conditions at Headingley, it was an important knock from Cook. Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 174 with James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes claiming 3 wickets each. England finished the opening day on 106/2, trailing Pakistan by 68 runs with captain Joe Root (29 not out) still out there in the middle.
