West Indian swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle, who is famous for both his on and off-field actions across the globe.  The Universal Boss finally took his revenge on the Australian legend Ian Chappell's harsh comment way back in 2016.

Chappell had called for a worldwide ban on Gayle following his controversial TV interview with Channel 10 journalist Mel McLaughlin during a Big Bash League match in 2016.

He had called Gayle’s behavior "totally inappropriate" by stating, “I wouldn't have a problem if Cricket Australia said to the clubs, 'he's never to be contracted again in this country'.”

At that time the West Indian great didn’t say a word, but in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, he gave a reply to that comment in his own style. Gayle responded humorously by taking a sarcastic dig at former Australian cricketer saying, "Who's Ian Chappell?"

During the interview with McLaughlin, Gayle had said, "Nice, so hopefully, we can win this game and we can have a drink after. Don't blush baby.” While McLaughlin had shaken her head and reply, “I'm not blushing.”

Even, Gayle was fined USD 10,000 by his BBL franchise Melbourne Renegades for his on-air mid-match controversial comments to McLaughlin. Later, the Jamaican apologized for his misbehavior, saying it was a "simple joke".
