Australia cricket team head coach Justin Lager has stressed on the need to stick together to overcome their struggle on the field, as well as, bring back the glory days following the ball-tampering controversy rocked the Australian cricket.

At the moment, the newly-appointed head coach is preparing the Australian squad for the upcoming England series and Langer urged his players to behave well both on and off the field to earn some respect again.

As per reports in Press Trust of India, Langer said on Saturday (26 May), “It doesn't matter how much money you have got or how many games or how many runs. If you're not a good bloke -- that's what people remember. Our mateship is really important. Sticking together is really important -- that's all of us in the Australian cricket team.”

Former Aussie cricketer further added, “If we behave well on and off the field, then hopefully we will earn some respect back and some trust back. The Australian public obviously loves the Australian cricket team and there is more to it than just being good cricketers.”

Langer signed off by saying, “We should be so proud in Australia of what we have achieved in our past. We have got our way of doing things and we shouldn't shy away from that.”

Australia is all set to tour England for five One Day Internationals and only T20 International next month and the series will start with the practice matches next month. The warm-up will get underway on 7 June at County Ground, Hove, while One Day series will start from 13 June in Kennington Oval, London.
