Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been included in the ESPN World Fame 100 list, released on Tuesday (May 22). The current and former India skippers are slotted among the top 20 biggest names in the world of sports whereas Cristiano Ronaldo was labelled as the most famous athlete in the world.

Widely deemed as the most adored and admired cricketer of this era, Kohli has been slotted just outside the top ten on the latest World Fame 100. Among the 11 Indian athletes featuring on this list, 9 of them are cricketers.

Taking into account the massive craze of cricket in India, it is no surprise that Yuvraj Singh (57) is placed ahead of the four-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton (68) while Harbhajan Singh (80) and Gautam Gambhir (83) are above football stars Robert Lewandowski (84) and Eden Hazard (85).

Ronaldo is heading the list for the third consecutive year followed by NBA superstar LeBron James and Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

Other athletes who have made it to the top ten of the list are Neymar, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, Kevin Durant, Rafael Nadal, Stephen Curry and Phil Mickelson.
