England's women cricketer Danielle Wyatt is a familiar face among the Indian cricket fans now. Thanks to her marriage proposal for India captain Virat Kohli, she has got a good engagement on social media with Indian fans.

Wyatt is in India for women's T20 challenge organized by BCCI between IPL Trailblazers and IPL Supernovas set to be played on May 22, 2018.

The English cricketer talks about her tweet which is yet to be forgotten by Indian fans. Her tweet "Kholi marry me!!!", still gets retweeted by fans sometimes just for fun.

"It was obviously a joke. But everyone has taken it really seriously and doesn't look people have forgotten it. But it's all funny," she tells India Today.

Twitteratis had tagged Wyatt when Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married last year in December. In fact, she herself had wished the couple on their wedding. Not only fans but her teammate Sarah Taylor too poked fun and joked that Wyatt might be sad.

Virat had gifted Wyatt a bat in 2014 saying, "You're the girl who sent that tweet... you can't do that because people take it seriously".

The 27-year-old hasn't used the bat till now. She is happy with her own bat and will be using Virat's bat only after the current one. "I haven't been using it in matches. I am happy with my bat right now but once that goes, I might start using Virat's bat," she says.

The T20 specialist is hoping she could make the most of the opportunity at Wankhede in the exhibition T20 game.

"If that happens that would be great news for women's cricket. It's a dream come true to be part of this game," she says.
