Shahid Afridi announces his availability for ICC World XI against West Indies

Shahid Afridi will play for ICC World XI against the West Indies on May 31 at Lord's.

Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan Captain, has come out and stated that he will be able to take part in the ICC World XI team which is slated to play the West Indies at Lord's on May 31. The game, though an international, will be a charity event organized by the Cricket's governing body International Cricket Council to gather financial help for hurricanes affected grounds in the Carribean that got damaged recently. 

Afridi who is currently injured and nursing has announced he'll available for the noble occasion which helps adding to the motive of the match for the cause. 

Afridi posted a tweet on the social media network Twitter, stating, “I will be playing ICC World XI vs West Indies as I feel strongly to support this as a cricketer and Muslim,” 

He had earlier posted an image nursing his knees with a doctor and had stated it might not be possible for him take part in the game as he needs another 3-4 weeks to fully recover from the injury.
