Mumbai Indians’ (MI) reserve wicket-keeper Aditya Tare has all lavished praise on the young ‘keeper-batsman Ishan Kishan for his stunning outing in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

Tare has also revealed on Tuesday (15 May) why MI has backed the Jharkhand lad for the keeper’s role in their all IPL 2018 matches. The 30-year-old Mumbai cricketer believes that Kishan’s enormous talent is the reason the franchise has backed him as the first choice for the ‘keeper’s role in the IPL 2018.

So far in the IPL 2018, Ishan has scored 250 runs at s stroke rate of 157.23 for MI, as well as, the youngster has been also brilliant behind the stumps for the franchise.

As per reports in PTI, Tare said of Ishan, “He is pretty young 19-20 years old and the talent that he has is enormous. That's the reason Mumbai Indians have backed him as the first choice.”

He further added, “It is the start of his career, so it is a great opportunity for him playing for MI. A couple of games back he won a game for us, so it shows the amount of ability he has with the bat. This experience of playing all the games for a franchise like MI is going to help him going forward in his career.”

Meanwhile, Tare said that MI have to play a fearless brand of cricket to win the next two matches with a big margin to qualify for the IPL playoffs 2018, as they have now just 10 points in their kitty.

He further added on the same, “It is an important stage for us, we know that if we win (the next) two games, we will make it (to the playoffs). We have been in this situation before (in 2014). We are just positive and we want to be fearless, that's what the thinking is. From the team's point of view, it is quite clear, we win two and you are there, anything can happen.”

In this season IPL 2018, Tare has been sitting out on the bench so far, but the keeper is not frightened too much because of it as he knows how to deal with sitting out of the playing eleven.

Tare signed off by saying, “IPL is not the end of everything. I am still a first-class captain and have got a lot of positive things to look forward to. Even if I am sitting out now, you never know how things can change and next season I will be a very important player, so that is the thinking I have. It's not the end of my career (or) end of life if I am sitting out for the entire season. I feel fortunate that I am back with MI, a franchise which has helped me in my career. I have spent six seasons growing up and the way (my) career got groomed, MI (has) played a massive role in it.”
