Cheteshwar Pujara has a task to prove his worth as an all conditions batsman in England this year.

There are two perceptions about Cheteshwar Pujara, one that he is one of India's best Test batsman and the other that it is the tweaks made in his game in pursuit to try and play limited overs cricket, that has hampered his batting technique for Test Cricket and stops him from becoming an all conditions batsman. Cheteshwar Pujara is quite stubborn, though.

He has reiterated that he wants to desperately play One-day Cricket for India and feature in the Indian Premier League, again.

Cheteshwar Pujara was recently quoted saying to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club's official website that, "I have worked a lot to be part of the IPL and the shorter formats, especially one-day cricket. I want to be part of the Indian team in ODI cricket and, as I say, the IPL,"

"My priority remains Test cricket. But to be a part of the ODI team, you need to have different skills. I have worked on shots, which will definitely help."

Pujara has a Test average of over 50 across 57 Test matches for India, but he failed recently in South Africa, where he managed only 100 runs across 6 innings and is looking desperately to prove his worth as a batsman who has a game to excel in all conditions by doing well in England this year.

With questions on his defence looming as he struggles in County Cricket and has a poor overseas record, Cheteshwar Pujara will know a big series in England awaits him.
