Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials have confirmed on Sunday (13 May) that  West Indies are planning to host the second and third T20 Internationals of the three-match series in Florida.

The BCB official also said that first T20I is likely to be held in St. Kitts, while the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, will host the remaining matches of the T20I series.

As per reports in Cricbuzz, a BCB spokesperson said, “We are likely to play two T20Is against West Indies in America during the upcoming tour."

It will be the fourth time when Florida will host cricket matches, having previously hosted a two-match T20I series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in 2010 and then New Zealand and the West Indies, while the Caribbean side played India in 2016 in the same number of matches.

However, it could be tough for Bangladesh to beat Windies here, as they are undefeated in Florida –won three of the four matches that they have played here so far.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will also play two Tests and three One Day Internationals apart from T20Is in West Indies. However,  the itinerary for the Bangladesh and West Indies series is yet to be finalized.

Noteworthy, the Tigers’ were originally scheduled to tour Windies in March 2018 but would be moved, most likely to July-August, as the original schedule would have clashed with the World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe, where Windies were to play.
