Tim Paine, the Australian Captain for limited overs tour of England, has come out and stated that his team will have to ready to cope the sledging and the scrutiny that they will receive from the English team and the media as the after-effects of the Ball-Tampering scandal that started in South Africa.

Off-field mind games have always been the part of Australia-England rivalry but this time it could go to another level as Australia plays a 5 match ODI series and a T2OI in England next month, purely because of how the whole public-shaming that Australia received on the back of their involvement in the big issue.

Tim Paine was quoted saying to the reporters recently that, "It's (the scandal) certainly going to be raised. The English are going to be basking in the glory of what's happened, Guys are certainly going to have to be ready for that. If we can play well as a team and show we're moving forward then hopefully the talk around that stuff will die off."

It must be said, after receiving the captaincy for the Test side, not many expected Tim Paine to be also given the limited overs captaincy. Paine is aware of the realities, as he said, "I certainly wasn't expecting to be part of the one-day set-up going forward - that was sort of the information I was given, My goal is to make it last. I want to be involved in the World Cup if I possibly can."

Tim Paine has gone on to also say that the banned trio - David Warner, Steve Smith, and Cameron Bancroft - must not worry about their future with Australian Cricket and that he is very much in touch with them.

He said, "I know the guys have kept in touch via texts or phone calls and that's something we've got to continue to work on, the week in South Africa was really difficult, everyone said that. But guys in that team get along well and David is a respected member of that team, he always has been"

"As long as I've been around the team he's been really well-liked and really well received by his teammates, here's a side of David that people don't know - he's very loyal and really caring and a good team man to have around."
