India batsman Kedar Jadhav is all set to leave for Australia for a surgery. Jadhav had suffered a grade 2 hamstring injury during the opening clash of IPL 2018, which ruled him out of the remaining matches of the cash-rich event.

It is because of this injury Jadhav was not named in any of the India squads that were announced on Tuesday (May 8).

As per the reports in Ahmedabad Mirror, Team India physio Patrick Farhart will also accompany Kedar in Australia. He is expected to fly to Australia in a day or two.

Reports further suggest that the BCCI will pay the medical bills of Jadhav who was supposed to be the key member in India’s ODI scheme of things. Jadhav has represented India in 40 ODIs and 9 Twenty20 Internationals thus far.

As far as Kedar Jadhav’s international cricket credential s are concerned – the 33-year-old has scored 798 ODI runs at an average of 39.90 with 2 centuries and 3 fifties. He has also amassed 122 T20I runs in his brief career.

Jadhav is not the only CSK player to breakdown in IPL 2018. Deepak Chahar, the 25-year-old pacer from Rajasthan, has also been ruled out of the showpiece tournament owing to a hamstring injury.
