Indian cricketers enjoy a backup by the fans and admirers during their tough times. The cricket crazy nation never disappoints the cricketers with their treatment. We have seen MS Dhoni fans running on to the ground to seek blessing from the former Indian skipper in this IPL many times.

But this time the same incident happened with Rajasthan Royals captain Ajinkya Rahane when a fan couldn't stop himself from breaking the security and run towards his idol Rahane. He was also wearing a 27 number jersey like the RR skipper and tried to take a selfie with him before security took him out of the ground.

The game was between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). It was the 19th over of the match and RR were in a command position. They were defending 158 runs and the opposition needed 48 off the last 12 balls.

Before the fourth ball was bowled by Jofra Archer, a fan jumped over the fencing at the deep extra cover boundary, ran on to the field and shook Rahane’s hand. Security personnel immediately rushed in and escorted the person out of the field.

Rajasthan eventually won the game by 15 runs to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Earlier in the game between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens, a fan had reached CSK's dug-out to touch Dhoni's feet. Nothing new for the 36-year-old. Many similar incidents have happened to him in the last couple of years. He is used to of it now.
