The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has always made its stand clear concerning the proposed Day/Night Test to Cricket Australia (CA) since they proposing the pink-ball Test in Adelaide later in 2018.

In January this year, CA chief executive James Sutherland had asked the Indian Cricket Board to play the opener of the four-match Tests series at the Adelaide Oval on 6-10 December, but BCCI made it clear that India would not participate in any form of Test cricket except “red-ball day matches”.

Even, the BCCI had reminded their stand over the pink-ball cricket to Australian at the last month’s ICC meet in Kolkata, and Sutherland was certainly known BCCI’s view on it as well.

In spite of this, Cricket Australia has not only written emails to the BCCI in this regard, but also tried to put pressure in the media, which has not been liked by the Indian Board, and it has been revealed to the Australian Board.

As per reports in Times of India, BCCI sources said, “He’s (Sutherland) clearly not speaking out what’s been exchanged between the two cricket boards through official emails.”

The sources signed off by saying, “It’s primarily a decision arrived at based on potential revenues. They’re free to think of ways that add to their overall finances but that doesn’t mean they make BCCI or India look like we’ve been sitting on the decision. Sutherland very well knows what we have in mind because he’s been told about it in writing.”
