Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise King XI Punjab (KXIP) seems a quite well-balanced side and their stunning all-round display in the ongoing 2018 edition of the IPL11 shows it.

It is not only about their bowling; even their batting has also seen well-formed this IPL season thanks to world-class batters KL Rahul, Karun Nair and Chris Gayle.

With their superb all-round show, especially batting effort, KXIP managed to win 5 matches out of seven that they have played so far in the IPL 2018. However, Rahul and Gayle have already been dominating headlines for their fantastic effort with the willow and caught attention, but there is one young gun has been making a sensation in the tournament, and he is none other than Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

The 17-year-old came into the mega T20 event following his brilliant display in the last year’s U19 World Cup in New Zealand, is proving to be a vital cog for R Ashwin in the “Super Over”.

Meanwhile, KXIP mentor Virender Sehwag is also highly impressed with the young Afghani off-spinner as well as, the Karnataka batsman and Gayle, who are the match-saver of Punjab in the Super Overs.

As per reports in the official website of KXIP, Sehwag said, “Waise toh bharosa poore team par hai. Magar, Super Over mein opposition jab ban jaye bin bulaya mahman, toh bowling mein utrega Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Aur batting mein hamare do diggaj jo kabhi hote nahi fail, Lokesh Rahul aur humare Boss Chris Gayle.”

Indian batting great also hinted that the struggling Aaron Finch might play in the super over in the coming matches of the t20 tournament.

He signed off by saying, “If we want our campaign to stay on the trail, then obviously we’ll play KL Rahul and Gayle. But if we want to go that extra inch, then we might even throw in Aaron Finch!”
