South African cricket great Jonty Rhodes, who is regarded as the greatest fielder of all time, has named two cricketers who are better fielders than himself, according to him, during a Q&A session on Twitter.

The 48-year-old had an incredible 9-year stint with Mumbai Indian (MI) before he decided to move on, to focus on his personal business ventures – Evolution Sports Network, that manufactures nutritional supplements in India.

Jonty, who is remembered for the famous run-out of Inzamam-ul-Haq in the 1992 World Cup, is quite famous on the social media especially for often having Q&A sessions with the fans on Twitter.

Rhodes, who is the best fielder to have ever grace the cricket field with his sheer brilliance of his direct throws at the stumps or just flying like a bird to latch onto a catch, has admitted that former MI head coach Shaun Pollock and fellow fielding coach Robin Singh would beat him at accuracy throwing contests during his tenure with the IPL franchise.

On Wednesday (25 April) in a Q&A session on Twitter, a fan asked the South African legend, “Sir who do u think is better btw u & Robin Singh as fielders in the current domain? Do u guys put urself to any such challenge on the ground? Just asking !”

To which Jonty replied, “Hi Ashwin; I must confess that when Shaun Pollock was the head coach of @mipaltan we would have accuracy throwing contests - Robin & Shaun would beat me - probably why I threw myself at the stumps instead of the ball in 1992.”
