Gautam Gambhir has been very vocal about his opinions when it comes to speaking on India's ties with Pakistan. When asked about the ceasefire violations by the neighbor country, he said, that the conditional boycott would not be enough for improving India-Pakistan relations.

"Merely boycotting cricketing ties with Pakistan will not help. If a ban is imposed, it should be in all sectors, be it films, music or any other. Nobody from Pakistan should be provided an opportunity to perform in India unless the relations between the two neighbors improve," he said.

The former Delhi Daredevils skipper further spoke on steps for the rising ceasefire violations along the border.

"In the recent past, we have initiated talks with Pakistan on many occasions, but no substantial outcome has been achieved. Every country has its own level of patience and importance. First thing, of course, is to talk; but if that doesn't work, one has to take strict action. There is no point in politicising the matter," said Gambhir.

This is not the first time Gambhir has stood against Pakistan. He had recently given a befitting reply to former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, who tweeted on Kashmir issue.

Gambhir recently met with the families of CRPF's martyrs and sympathized with their grief and sorrow. Gambhir's love for Indian armed forces is very well known.
