Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik to play for ICC World XI against West Indies

The two Indians will join the World XI side after IPL.

Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya have been named by BCCI as the two Indian players who will be part of the ICC World XI for a charity T20 match against West Indies at Lord's Cricket Ground, on May 31.

“Hardik and Dinesh will be part of the World XI team for the charity match,” BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhury told reporters on the sidelines of the ICC meeting.

Rashid Khan, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Thisara Perera have also been confirmed for the one-off match which will carry international status.

The proceeds from this match will be donated towards rebuilding and renovating five major venues as well as other community cricket facilities that were damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The venues that will benefit include the Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua, the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica, the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground in the British Virgin Islands and the Carib Lumber Ball Park in St. Maarten.
