Indian all-rounder Jhulan Goswami has been honored for her efforts on the field, featuring on a postage stamp that was unveiled at the Calcutta Sports Journalists' Club on Friday (22 April).

In her stellar 16-year long career, Jhulan has achieved a lot of exploits donning Indian blue, but she was honored with a postage stamp for latest feat on being the first ever Women cricketer to claim a record 200 wickets in One Day Internationals.

In the presence of President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, the postage stamp was unveiled that was featured Goswami's mugshot in an Indian jersey alongside an image of Kolkata's iconic Victoria Memorial.

In February, she had made batswoman Laura Wolvaardt of her victim to claim her 200th wicket, while surpassing Australia's Cathryn Fitzpatrick’s 181 wickets as the world's top wicket-taker in the white-ball game in May last year.

In 2007, Jhulan was conferred with the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award, and then the Arjuna Award in 2010, as well as honored with the Padam Shri after two years later.

Having made her India debut in 2002, Jhulan has played 10 Tests, 166 ODIs, and 60 T20Is, in which she has taken 40 wickets and 283 runs, 200 wickets, and 995 runs, and 50 wickets and 329 runs respectively.

Meanwhile, Sthalekar was among the first to laud Goswami for her most recent exploit on Twitter and it couldn't have been a better way to honor the all-rounder.
