Chris Gayle plundered the Sunrisers bowling attack as he smoked them to all parts of the ground. Gayle was hitting the ball mercilessly against all the bowlers as the Mohali crowd was thrilled to bits.

The ultimate entertainer of T20 cricket, Chris Gayle scored the first century of the season and his sixth IPL ton. Yuvraj Singh was watching everything from the KXIP dugout. However, he could not control himself from celebrating when Gayle reached his ton.

Yuvraj brought out his bhangra moves as cameras captured the moment of his celebration.

Following his rollicking century - his 21st in T20 cricket - Gayle has ensured that, fitness permitting, he will play all of KXIP's remaining matches. And in his inimitable style, the Jamaican gave credit to KXIP mentor Virender Sehwag for having 'saved the IPL' by picking him in the auction. "I think Virender Sehwag saved the IPL by picking me (in the January auctions)," said Gayle with a big smile. Everyone says I have a lot to prove. I am just here to put some respect on my name."

Gayle, 38, was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore [RCB] before January's IPL player auction, and on day one of the auction had gone unsold. On the second day, KXIP made a bid for him and secured his services for his base price of Rs 2 crore.

Gayle scored aa 33 ball 63 in his very first match of the season against CSK. He then followed it up with a match-winning ton against Suneisers Hyderabad. Punjab at the end won the match by 15 runs.

Here is the video of Yuvraj's celebration.
