Australia’s Steve Smith, David Warner, and Cameron Bancroft have been currently out of action with their 12-months and 9-months suspension by the Cricket Australia (CA) over their ball-tampering conduct in South Africa last month.

However, CA allowed the trio to play Club Cricket in the country to be in touch with the game so that it can't make it much difficult for them to play when they will return to the national side after serving bans.

While, the suspended trio can be playing overseas as well, but they have to get approval from CA and where they want to play whose Cricket Board’s approval.

Now, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that Surrey coach Michael Di Venuto is keen on signing at least one of Warner and Smith for the coming domestic English season.

Michael said, “From an Australian perspective, it is probably important that they play a bit of cricket at some stage. I don't know if they are allowed to play in this competition.”

Earlier, Mitch Marsh was signed up by the Surrey, but he has been ruled out of the season with an injury, later Club has announced Dean Elgar as his replacement for April and May 2018.

Venuto also said that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are not mad to leave world-class players, said regarding approval from the ECB for Smith and Warner.

Michael signed off by saying, “I know what it states in their sanctions that they can't play domestic cricket in Australia. We have got a relationship with Mitch to see how he goes with his ankle but we have got a spot we have got to fill as well. So, if they are in the right mental state to play cricket and the ECB will have to allow it to start with, then we'd be mad not to look at some of the world's best players potentially playing.”
