South African pace super head Lungi Ngidi, who was here due to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, has to fly home back after his father’s sudden demise.

So far in the IPL 2018, CSK have won both of their matches that they have played, but the Proteas debutant has yet to feature in any game of the T20 tournament.

For the youngster, it was really tragic news of a sudden loss of his father Jerome Ngidi on Friday morning following a back operation at a KwaZulu-Natal hospital.

With the effect, it will be most unlikely for Lungi, who was brought by CSK for INR 50 lakh, to sport the famous yellow jersey any time soon.

It is really difficult for the 22-year-old to lose his father at such a young age, and the young bowler's emotions are ups-downs at the moment.

But he had to face an embarrassing situation at the airport, as the pacer had been subjected to ‘strip search’ on Friday (13 April) morning at the airport on his way back to South Africa from India.

However, it has not been confirmed yet that this incident took place at Chennai International airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport in Mumbai.

He also went on the social media to share about it, writing on his official Twitter handle, “Just to top off my day.....a "random" strip search at the airport.....”

Meanwhile, Lungi’s parents recently had made their way to the Centurion in January 2018 when he made his Test debut for South Africa against India. He also posted a picture of himself with his parents on Twitter.

In his debut Test, Ngidi has taken 7 wickets – 1/51 in the first innings & 6/39 in the second innings against India, and adjudged the man of the match award.
