A day after his controversial comment on Kashmir against India, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi turned down the possibilities of his playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in future.

On 4 April, he has indirectly said that Indians has been continuously blooding the innocents on the border and even urged the United Nations (UN) to intervene on the “Indian Occupied Kashmir” issue to stop “bloodshed of innocents” after the Indian security forces killed 13 terrorists in three gunfights.

Since then, Afridi has been continuously receiving heavy criticism from Indian cricketer to fans for his remark on Kashmir on the social media.

His Twitter post reads, “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”

Even this matter has not ended, and Afridi has made another unkind comment against India, saying he will never play in the World’s biggest T20 extravaganza –IPL even if “India call him” for the league.

Afridi, who played for the Deccan Chargers in  IPL 2008, also said that he is not interested in the IPL and even he has no need of any IPL, saying he has his biggest T20 tournament, Pakistan Super League (PSL), which will leave the IPL behind very soon.

A Twitter post of an editor of PakPassion Saj Sadiq reads, “Shahid Afridi “Even if they call me, I won’t go to the IPL. My PSL is the biggest and there will be a time that it leaves the IPL behind. I am enjoying the PSL, I don’t have any need for the IPL. I’m not interested in it and never was” #Cricket”
