Former England cricketer and Cricket Pundit –Kevin Pietersen, who will join commentary panel for the coming IPL 2018, has been showing great interest in wildlife projects in India for some time.

Pietersen has expressed his happiness at the increase in the population of one-horned rhinos in Kaziranga National Park, India. Recently, he visited Chhattisgarh, India and expressed his desire to adopt a leopard's cubs.

On Monday (2 March), Pietersen went on social media to express his happiness at the increase in the number of rhinos in Kaziranga. However, Pietersen’s way of celebration has been a little unusual as he shared his message in Hindi, which caught everyone's attention.

He wrote on his official Twitter handle, “Yeh bohut achi Khabar hai, isse Padne ke liye mein bohut Khush hoon, india mein appse bohut pyar karta hoon aur aapke jaanwaro se bhi bohut pyar karta hoon. @sorai2018 aapke sabhi pyaare jaanwaro se pratibrad hai. Hum rhinos se suruwatt kar rahe hai. Mein bohut khush hoon.”

This was not the first time when foreign cricketers tweeted in Hindi, as New Zealand’s star batsman –Ross Taylor and India's batting great -Virender Sehwag had an attention-grabbing conversation in Hindi on Twitter last October. Taylor had replied Sehwag’s congratulatory post in Hindi and won the heart of his Indian fans.

Meanwhile, Pietersen, who has played 104 Tests and 136 ODIs for England, had retired from the game of cricket last month after playing in PSL 2018.
