According to the ICC Future Tours Programme and the schedule proposed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, India is likely to play 102 Internationals across the next five years. It is noted that 22 of these games are home Test Matches. The Board has not listed any Triangular or other Multi-team series in their schedule draft owing to the broadcaster's preferences.

The schedule sees India playing 18 internationals across formats at for the 2018-19 season and again a quite low, 14 for the 2019-2020 season. That's where the lull ends, though, as the next three seasons are packed with games. India plays 26 internationals each across 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23.

There are marquee test series scheduled too, with Australia in 2018 and 2020 away and in 2022 at home. England arrives in India for five test matches in 2020 and India reciprocates in 2022. South Africa is scheduled for a home series in 2019 and an away one in 2021.

There will noticeably be no games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the next five years at home. As per the ICC Test Championship that starts in 2019, each country has to play six series, home and away, in the period of two years that concludes with the final to be played by the top 2 teams. Test Championship will force India to become an all conditions Test Side.

The details of the schedule have been mentioned in the Invitation To Tender (ITT) document for the broadcasters applying to purchase India's television and Digital rights as the e-auction process for the same happens on April 3.
