David Warner to clear his side on ball tampering scandal on Saturday

Disgraced former Australia vice-captain David Warner will break his silence over the whole ball tampering issue on Saturday.

Warner was banned for one year by Cricket Australia from international cricket and domestic cricket and was also suspended from playing in IPL 2018 for his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. CA also announced that Warner will not be considered for any leadership role for Australian team ever in future.

Steve Smith, Cameron Bancroft and David Warner were the central figures in the ball tampering scandal, as established by the investigation conducted by Cricket Australia.

Smith broke down while his press conference in which he admitted to his wrongdoings and rendered a tearful apology to the Australian public and the cricket world, with his father Peter Smith consoling him the whole time.

Darren Lehmann too resigned from the post of head coach of Australian team and said that the 4th Test will be his last.

Warner had issued a statement on social media to admit his mistakes had damaged cricket. He returned to Australia on Thursday with wife Candice and their two daughters and promised to speak to the media in a few days.

"As you can understand, it has been a tough, emotional time for my wife and kids," Warner said at Sydney airport. "At the present time, you'll hear from me in a couple of days.

He said, “At the moment, my priority is to get these kids in bed, and rest up and get my mind a bit clear so I can think, and talk in a couple of days."
