Former Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan has picked Imran Khan as the skipper of his all-time XI. Imran is the only Pakistan captain to lead his team to a World Cup triumph.

In a video interview to the Lord’s Cricket Ground’s social media team, Younus said he was an ‘all-time fan of Imran Khan’.

His XI is filled with legends. He picked Hanif Mohammad and Sachin Tendulkar as his openers. The 118 Tests veteran has got a good number of Caribbean players to strengthen his side. Brian Lara, Sir Viv Richards, and Sir Gary Sobers are at 4, 5 and 6 batting slots in his all-time XI.

Younis chose Imran Khan as the captain of his all-time XI

“I will start with two little masters — Hanif Mohammad and Sachin Tendulkar. Why is that? Because they are both little masters. Then the Prince, Brian Charles Lara. Then the King, again another West Indian, Sir Viv Richards. And then Sir Gary Sobers. Viv and Sobers will make a very big difference in the team." he said.

Younis' choice as wicket-keeper was Aussie cricketer Adam Gilchrist. “Adam Gilchrist, the all-time great wicketkeeper,” he said.

His bowling unit can win a war of bat and ball for him. “Sir Richard Hadlee. The great companion, the fastest bowler. After that the great Glenn McGrath from Australia. The way he performed everywhere made me a great admirer of him," he said.

For spin, he relied on Muttiah Muralitharan.
