1) Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting who is Australia's all-time leading run scorer with more than 27000 international runs and 71 international centuries can definitely fill Lehmann's shoes for the post of the Head Coach. Punter is also one of Australia's best captains, leading his team like a true champion he had always set an example for the youngsters in the team.

Ricky has one of the finest cricketing brains who can surely lead a side like Australia's national team. Undoubtedly, a coach like Ponting who is well-known for his responsibilities can shape up Australia's future.

Talking about his experience as a coach, we all know the reason behind Mumbai Indians' success as an IPL franchise. Under his mentorship, MI won the title twice in 2015 and 2017.

Delhi Daredevils has roped in Rickey Ponting this year as their head coach. Delhi has had a forgettable IPL decade in the past and with Ponting's inclusion in the thinktank, Delhi is looking to turn the tables.

Australia can also consider the services of Tom Moody,  their former player and former Sri Lankan coach who led the side in 2007 World Cup final. Moody who has enough experience as a coach can overshadow Darren Lehmann and lead Australia in World Cup 2019.

After his retirement from International cricket, he is been in coaching only. He has also coached teams like Multan Sultan in Pakistan Super League and Sunrisers Hyderabad who had won IPL 2016 under his guidance only.

4) Jason Gillispie

The former Australian right-hand fast bowler Jason Gillispie is also a great applicant for the post of the head coach. He can easily replace Darren Lehmann as he is a fast bowler so it will be a sort of advantage for players like Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood who forms the core the Australian bowling attack currently. If Gillespie joins, he can certainly boost the pace attack for the good.

Speaking of Jason's stint as a coach, he was the coach Zimbabwe international team in 2010 and was also the bowling coach of Kings XI Punjab in 2011. The latter was later appointed by Adelaide Strikers in Big Bash League.

5) Dean Jones

Dean Jones a 57-year-old former Australian cricketer who has represented the nation both in ODIs and Tests will be a great call for the post of the Head Coach of team Australia.

Jones who is working as a commentator currently,  has taken Islamabad Unite to two PSL titles. He can prove himself if he gets appointed as the Head Coach of the Australian cricket team. He can be very lucky for Australia as he is known for winning tournaments.

As the World Cup 2019 is approaching very soon, Australia will look into consideration of all listed above and will choose the head coach only after evaluating them on their responsibility level and experience measures.
