Former Australia captain Steve Smith left for Australia after been disgraced in the ball tampering saga that engulfed the media for past week. Smith, along with Warner was banned for a year, and Bancroft was banned for nine months from cricket.
Now, former cricketers have condemned the way Steve Smith was treated at the airport as he readied for his journey back home. David Warner managed to board his plane from the OR Tambo airport rather unnoticed and Bancroft had a clear passage.
However, Smith has a phalanx of security officials, who took him through a jostling crowd of media as boos rang out from bystanders amid scuffles with the security.
Steve Smith will address the media once he lands in Sydney.
