If reports are to be believed, then, after being suspended for the remainder of the South African tour, former Australia captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner might have to go through more repercussions for their actions.
It is believed that both Smith and Warner will be banned for 12 months each from international cricket. On March 27, CA CEO James Sutherland had announced that Smith, Warner and Bancroft will be flying back to Australia for more disciplinary hearings and now reports suggest that both the talented batsmen are going to be banned for a year.

Reports also suggested that Warner will play in IPL 2018 for his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, but only as a player and not as a captain. He won the IPL in 2016 for SRH as captain.
On the other hand, Steve Smith has reportedly decided to give IPL 2018 a miss and cancel his contract with Rajasthan Royals and go overseas for some time.
Smith will cancel his IPL contract and go overseas elsewhere for a time. Warner will play IPL but not captain. No word on Bancroft.

Things came to a standstill, when Steve Smith, along with Cameron Bancroft admitted to changing to changing the condition of the ball using sandpaper during the third day’s play of the third Test against Proteas in Cape Town. It was later revealed that David Warner was also involved in the plan, which was hatched during the lunch break.
